Some hair anomalies are often misdiagnosed as nits. Simple office procedures and techniques can differentiate pseudonits from nits. Knowledge of these basic disorders and procedures will eliminate any misdiagnosis of nits and thereby prevent any unnecessary treatment, anxiety, or embarrassment.
