To the Editor.—
In their article on Cushing's disease (1981;246:2722), Huldrick Kammer, MD, and Richard George, MD, apparently misquote the article written by Dr Blanshard and myself on a sphenoidal pituitary adenoma. In Table 3, the authors seem to indicate that the patient we described had a pituitary tumor in the sella with a tumor also in the temporal lobe poles and olfactory tract, as well as clinical acromegaly. Review of the article by Dr Blanshard and myself indicates that our patient had a normal sella, with a tumor only in the sphenoid bones, and no acromegaly.
