The medical news writers of the American Medical Association attempt to produce news release copy that accurately reflects information published in AMA journals that is readily accessible to lay readers. The change of wording from "some concern" to "some evidence" referred to by Nathan Pritikin does not seem to violate the meaning of the passage in question. Concern suggests a matter for consideration, while evidence denotes "an outward sign," or "indication." Thus, some concern suggests, indeed, that there were indications that the diet might reduce resistance to infection.
