Abstract

—No evidence has come to hand that either of these diseases have made advances, or appeared in new places since the previous issue of this journal, and there is a strong probability that the latter will not extend beyond its present boundaries this season. Should the remainder of this month and September be accompanied by unusually high temperature, in the South Atlantic and Gulf States, there will be more danger of the occurrence of yellow fever, in spite of the most vigilant quarantine influences.
