Jumping the Rope.

Abstract

—This favorite exercise, especially among girls at school, is evidently capable of being carried to a dangerous excess. At Lima, Ohio, recently, a girl fourteen years of age is reported to have jumped the rope 256 times without interruption. In about twenty minutes after she fell into an unconscious condition, and died in a little less than three weeks.
