Dr. Wm. S. Robertson, late Professor of Practice of Medicine in the Medical Department of the Iowa University, died at his home in Muscatine, Iowa, on the 20th of January, 1887, aged 56 years. He had suffered several months from paralysis and symptoms of cerebral disease, ending in complete coma forty-eight hours before death. We are informed that a post-mortem examination "revealed a tumor in the right cerebrum, extending from above downward and slightly backward about three inches, and from before backward two inches," as the evident cause of the symptoms and the fatal result.
