Honors to Sanitary Officers.
—Dr. Rupert Blue, U. S. P. H. and M.-H. Service, was given a gold cigarette case and gold match box, October 3, at a dinner given in his honor by the members of his staff. Dr. William C. Pucker, his chief executive officer, was also given a gold watch.
—The San Francisco Society for the Study and Prevention of Tuberculosis announces that a dispensary will be opened about the end of this month, to be maintained by private contributions. The society has also arranged a course of lectures on the general subject of tuberculosis.
Health Officers Meet.
—At the twenty-sixth semi-annual meeting of the Central California Health Officers' Association in Fresno, October 13. a resolution was passed asking that efforts be made toward affiliation with similar organizations in the northern and southern portions of the state, with a view of the united associations
