This book is intended for first-year nurses. It takes up the usual subjects of anatomy, physiology, hygiene, bacteriology, therapeutics, materia medica, dietetics, and invalid cookery. The recipes are good and the importance of properly cooked and daintily served food is emphasized. An appendix contains among other things a list of household antidotes.
