Abstract

As the author states in the preface, this book is issued for the purpose of showing what is being done in this country through the services of the trained nurse in what has been known for many years as "district nursing," and the extension of the work into medical inspection of schools, etc. Part I commences with a brief history of visiting nursing and then takes up the principle of the work and the methods of organization and administration. Part 2 is devoted to a directory of visiting nurses' associations and to statistical tables.
