Sanatorium Opened.  —The formal opening of the Rock Island Municipal Tuberculosis Sanatorium took place October 19.

Health Conference.  —Arrangements are being made by Dr. C. St. Clair Drake, secretary of the state board of health, Springfield, for five district health conferences to be held in the state during the winter.

County Sanatorium.  —Miss Grace Osburn, Chicago, state worker for a tuberculosis sanatorium, is touring Ogle County urging the voters to maintain a sanatorium in and for the county. This is the third county in the state to vote on this question.

School Vaccination Sustained.  —The Illinois Supreme Court, on October 25, after considering the case of Wendell against the city of Peoria, rendered a decision upholding the right
