— We learn from a circular issued by Dr. John B. Hamilton, Supervising Surgeon-General of the Marine Hospital Service, that on and after the 1st day of January, 1886, the revised edition of 1885 of the the Provisional Nomenclature of Diseases of the Royal College of Surgeons of London will be used as the official nomenclature for the U. S. Marine Hospital Service, instead of the former editions.
