Abstract

Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee Meeting.  —The Tri-State Medical Society of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee will hold its eighth annual meeting at Chattanooga, Tenn., October 13-15. The prospects are favorable for a large attendance.

Lehigh Valley Medical Association.  —The sixteenth annual meeting of this association took place in Wilkesbarre, Pa., August 6. Dr. George M. Gould, by request, read a paper on "Some Curiosities of Medical and Surgical Practice," in which he cited a number of instances of children having been born at railway stations, theaters and in street cars, and gave an explanation of the cause of the incidents that came under his practice within the past few years. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Dr. J. R. Bucher, Lebanon; vice-presidents, Dr. Mary Greenwalt, Stroudsburg; Dr. G. T. Fox, Allentown; Dr. O. F.
