Personal.  —Dr. Sidney D. Wilgus, superintendent of the Elgin State Hospital, has been appointed superintendent of the Kankakee State Hospital, vice Dr. Frank P. Norbury, appointed a member of the State Board of Administration to succeed Dr. James L. Greene, Springfield, resigned, to take charge of the Arkansas State Hospital, Little Rock.—Dr. Emerson M. Brewer, Rantoul, local surgeon, has been promoted to district surgeon for the Illinois Central system.—Dr. L. M. Griffin has been appointed local surgeon at Polo for the Illinois Central system.—Dr. Wallace Blanchard, Chicago, has returned from Europe.


State Society to Have Banquet.  —For the first time in twenty-two years the Indiana Medical Association will have a banquet at its annual meeting which is to be held in Indianapolis, September 28 and 29. On the days preceding and following the meeting, clinics will be held at the city hospital.
