This is an instructive monograph on a very practical subject. The author bases his conclusions on an experience with 458 persons suffering from neuralgia among a clientele of 2,631 patients. He first gives a general study of the subject and follows this by a detailed consideration of the different forms of neuralgia as manifested in different nerves. A considerable number of case-reports are inserted and the treatment is succinctly described. A few synthetic remedies are given a place, but there appears to be no tendency to overestimate them.
