This work treats an important subject in a superficial way. It would be of greater use to the general practitioner were there fewer digressions into the field of etymology. A large part of the book is devoted to reports of cases in which the patients were treated by a plaster bandage devised by one of the authors. Methods, new and old, of diagnosing this condition are briefly related.
