This is the second edition of an English work, which is a very fair example of the briefer treatises on this important subject. We can not call it an exhaustive one nor recommend it in place of the fuller works. While its handling of the subject is generally judicious, and the illustrations and descriptions are clear, it does not meet the requirements either of the specialist or of the general practitioner.
