Brooklyn, N. Y., June 15, 1897.
To the Editor:
—I send the following clipping from the Brooklyn Times, June 15. 1897, to the Journal, to call it to the attention of the Committee on Transportation: "Single Fare for the Round Trip to Philadelphia via Pennsylvania Railroad on Account of the National Saengerfest.— The Pennsylvania Railroad Company announces that for the Eighteenth National Saengerfest, to be held in Philadelphia June 21 to 24, 1897, it will sell excursion tickets to Philadelphia from all points on its line June 19 to 23 inclusive, good to return until June 26, 1897, inclusive, at a single fare for the round trip. No rate, however, will be reduced to less than 50 cents." Respectfully,
