Asylum Asks Appropriations.  —Trustees of the Illinois Western Hospital for the Insane at Watertown, will petition the next session of the legislature for appropriations aggregating $450,000. The chief item in the new schedule is an appropriation for a ward building, to cost $200,000.

Returned from Philippines.  —Dr. George A. Zeller, late surgeon U. S. V., returned to Peoria, October 23, and will at once take charge of the Hospital for Incurable Insane, Bartonville. He has resigned from the United States service.— Dr. Harry R. Lemen, U. S. V., Upper Alton, has arrived at San Francisco, on a short leave of absence.

The Blacklist in Moline.  —Rules to govern physicians and the blacklist were adopted at a recent meeting of the medical staff of the Moline City Hospital. Any physician calling on a blacklisted person without his fee in advance will be liable to a forfeit of $25, and failure
