Volume I, No. 1, of the California State Journal of Medicine is just received. It is the journal of the Medical Society of California, and will be issued monthly in place of the annual transactions. In the editorial announcement we read:

"The Journal will be the partisan of no one and nothing, save only and always an energetic partisan for honest, legitimate, ethical practice of the regular profession, for truth and right, and, first, last and all the time, for organization, and again organization, of the regular profession of California into a united body— the State Society."

The first number is a credit both to the editorial committee and to the Medical Society of the State of California.
