—It is with particular pleasure that I come to preside over the destinies of this vigorous Section at the meeting of the Association in this the City of the Straits. The number of titles presented the Chairman to form a program demonstrated that the Association is not losing interest in the special work of this Section. It was found necessary to decline almost enough papers to have formed an additional list as large as the one we present.In preserving the work of the Section, the plan instituted last year of printing the papers and addresses read before it in a separate volume, was a step in the right
