This work is evidently a potentialization of Pozzi's magnificent treatise. The work has certainly lost nothing by being translated by a homœopath, but it has positively lost much by condensation. The illustrations in black and white in Pozzi's complete two volume work are by no means remarkable from the standpoint of artistic excellence; those of the present volume are much worse, and are not redeemed by colored plates as in the original. The translator has done his work well and the general make up of the work is excellent, hence for those who do not desire the more expensive edition.
