To the Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association:  In a recent reprint from the Association Journal, entitled " Herpes of the Buccal Mucous Membrane," the name of Cohen, in parenthesis, is included among others referred to as ignoring the subject of herpes of the pharynx. The name, which was an enclosed marginal note of the original manuscript, was not intended for the printer, and as its presence there does Dr. Solis-Cohen, who not only refers to herpes in his text-book, but has also reported several interesting cases, great injustice, I beg that you will insert this in explanation.
