This book is a general guide to the management of cases of insanity, and contains also a valedictory address delivered to the class of 1895, Training School for Attendants of the East ern Michigan Asylum. It is well adapted for the use of junior medical students as well. In the management of cases the author's advice is sound and judicious. Many of the precepts laid down by him are worthy to be engraved over the doors of the wards of asylums so that they might be ever present to the attendant.
