This edition has been wholly recast and the arrangement of the sections changed. As in the former edition there are eleven sections, but the titles have been changed as follow:

  1. Specific Infectious Diseases.

  2. Diseases Due to Animal Parasite.

  3. Intoxication and Sunstroke.

  4. Constitutional Diseases.

  5. Diseases of Digestive System.

  6. Diseases of the Respiratory System.

  7. Diseases of the Circulatory System.

  8. Diseases of the Blood and Ductless Glands.

  9. Diseases of the Kidneys.

  10. Diseases of the Nervous System.

  11. Diseases of the Muscles.

The author states that the following articles have been rewritten or are new, viz.: Vaccination, Beriberi, The Bubonic Plague, Cerebro-Spinal Fever, Pneumonia, Malta, Gonorrheal Infection, Cancer of the Stomach, The Gastric Neuroses, Enteroptosis, The Cirrhoses of the Liver, Jaundice, the Diseases of the Bile-passages, Diseases of the Pancreas, Diseases of the Thymus Gland, Diseases of the Spleen, Lymphatism, Addison's Disease, Encephalitis, Neurasthenia, Erythro-melalgia, and many shorter articles, as Hypertrophic Stenosis of the Pylorus,
