This volume is a reprint from the tenth report of the board and contains much of value to the physician. The author has endeavored to present a review of the experimental work which has been done, more particularly in recent years, for the purpose of determining the germicidal value of the various agents which have been in use, or have been suggested as disinfectants. He gives some attention to their antiseptic and deodorant properties; also to the methods and conditions under which the investigations were made. The various subjects are considered in their alphabetic order and a decided value is given to the references to the literature, in that the date of the publication is included with the volume and page reference, showing at once whether the work is or is not recent.
