To the Editor.
—In answer to the letter of Dr. W. H. DeWitt of Cincinnati (Journal, June 17, p. 1378), I would say that the "cotton capsule" is a well-known and much-used expedient for getting gastric juice. It was first used, I believe, by Max Einhorn.
