Handbook of Clinical Skills: A Practical Manual is based on an “Art of Medicine” course given by Balu Athreya at the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania and other medical centers throughout the world. In this book, Athreya discusses a wide variety of topics, ranging from the patient-physician relationship to personal reflection to clinical reasoning and teaching skills. In addition to the standard medical literature, there is a reading list at the end of each chapter, with recommendations from literature and social sciences.
