To the Editor:—
Looking through your American medical journals, I encounter the everlasting enigmatic command to authors to double-space everything. Does this apply to lists of references, book reviews, and abstracts? Do you want Tables double-spaced? Humbly, I wonder if your Letters editor is influenced more favorably by a double- than a single-spaced Letter. Is he more likely to accept a letter for publication, if double-spaced?
