The seventh edition of this distinguished and popular anatomy text is marked by the addition of Dr. John Basmajian as co-editor. The aim of the book remains the same— to encourage the student to understand and correlate rather than to try to memorize—and to this end the unique practical character of the text and illustrations has been retained.
Some rearranging has been done, with the deletion of obsolete material and the addition of new information. Thirty-eight new illustrations have been added, and terminology has been modernized to conform to the official Nomina Anatomica. These improvements have been accomplished, and yet there is a reduction in length of nearly 100 pages. As the net result, we have a vigorous book which is useful to both student and clinician alike.
