This volume discusses, at a relatively advanced level, various aspects of medical physics. The topics reviewed include x-ray spectrochemical studies of the blood, neutron activation analysis, gamma-ray scintillation spectrometry, heavy ions, hypothalamus and thyroid, the origin of life on earth and elsewhere, the physics of space radiation, and mechanisms of carcinogenesis.
