This authoritative work has been thoroughly revised and rewritten. The first chapter now comprises the application of hypnosis to general practice and to internal medicine. The chapters on surgery and anesthesia have also been combined. The use of hypnosis in gynecology, obstetrics, dermatology, dentistry, and clinical psychology has been adequately treated.
