When I am no more
I will not know
that I have ceased to be.
There will be nothingness
as if I’d never been
except as momentary memories.
The stone that will be named for me
will fade—the soul who lived as me
will be forever gone.
I carry many souls in me
together with all beings who have ever been.
Perhaps these remnant souls who come and go
are what is gathered as eternity.
