Abstract

This is an outline of the more common and salient features of blood pressure, normal and abnormal, written in a style that should appeal to the lay reader. The book covers the relation of food, work, worry, heredity, sex and exercise to blood pressure. The chapter on the physiology of the circulation is a bit too complicated for the average person to grasp, and the chapter on the methods of estimating blood pressure might well have been omitted.
