Berson's book stresses the technic of certain plastic procedures by way of numerous illustrations, leaving little space for text. Since it is impossible to do full justice to both within the limited confines of one volume (303 pages) the work fails to attain its objective, which the author states is to "furnish a clear exposition of the surgical procedures for postgraduate student, the general surgeon and the specialist.
