To the Editor We thank Piccini et al1 for their study investigating the clinical and functional outcomes of atrial fibrillation (AF) in women and men. In this study, the authors reported more symptoms and poorer quality of life in women compared with men after AF, thereby highlighting a need to focus future studies on the effect of AF treatments and interventions in women.
