Errors in Data Presentation, Funding, and Acknowledgments

JAMA Cardiol. 2018;3(10):1026. doi:10.1001/jamacardio.2018.0038

In the Original Investigation titled “Association of LPA Variants With Aortic Stenosis: A Large-Scale Study Using Diagnostic and Procedural Codes From Electronic Health Records,”1 published online on November 12, 2017, there were errors in data presentation in the Abstract as well as the Funding sources. In Design, Settings, and Participants, “Individuals with congential heart disease” should read “Individuals with congential valvular heart disease,” and in the Results, the 95% confidence interval for rs3798220 should be “(95% CI, 1.03-13.62)” and not “(95% CI, 1.03-1.36).” In Funding/Support, “This study was funded by operating grant R01HL128550 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (Thanassoulis)” should read “This study was funded by operating grant R01 HL128550 from the National Institutes of Health/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (Dr Thanassoulis) as well as grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (Dr Thanassoulis).” Additionally, a co-corresponding author, James C. Engert, was added to this article. This article was corrected online.
