EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE is the conscientious explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients.1 Several books have been written about how to practice,2 teach,3 and understand4 evidence-based medicine. Evidence-based medicine articles abound in the medical literature. However, few of these articles appear in the dermatological literature and few evidence-based medicine articles address the care of patients with skin diseases.
