Helicobacter pylori Eradication in Patients With Chronic Urticaria

Helicobacter pylori has recently become a highly suspected etiological factor in idiopathic chronic urticaria (ICU). After therapy for H pylori, remission of urticaria is reported in 95% to 100% of patients infected with the bacterium, mainly from countries with a relatively low prevalence of the infection (Table 1).1-4 The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of confirmed eradication of H pylori on the course of ICU in a country with a high prevalence of the infection.
