To the Editor Ultraviolent radiation (UVR) plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of skin cancer, photodermatoses, and photoaging. Several organizations make photoprotection recommendations, including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD)1 and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).2 The AAD advocates a comprehensive photoprotection strategy including seeking shade, photoprotective clothing, and sunscreen application.1
