Furuncular myiasis is an infrequent infestation of the skin caused by the larva of the tumbu fly (Cordylobia anthropophaga) in Africa and the botfly (Dermatobia hominis) in South and Central America.1 We report a case of imported tumbu fly furuncular myiasis that was successfully treated by applying sulfur ointment, 10%, and extracting larvae with tweezers, and of the observation of the clear microstructure of the larvae captured under the anatomical lens showing several special features.
