In Reply The use of dermatoscopy in clinical practice has changed the way of diagnosing melanomas and skin cancer in general by allowing a real-time view of specific structures that are well correlated with histopathologic substrates. Although diagnostic dermatoscopic criteria have been extensively evaluated and validated for usual melanoma subtypes, little is known on uncommon variants.
Thus, our systematic review aimed to analyze the data in the available literature on this topic to summarize possible dermatoscopic useful aspects and highlight the limitations.1
