We are grateful for the opportunity to comment on the review by Chosidow1 of our head louse control study published in the British Medical Journal.2 While we agree wholeheartedly with many points in the review, there are also several assumptions that are incorrect, and the reviewer seems to have totally misunderstood why the study was conducted in the manner that it was. We believe that it is best to simply counter some of the inaccuracies and leave it to the readers to reach their own conclusions on the validity of our work.
