IN THE YEAR 2000, the ARCHIVES will be devoting its September issue to advances in dermatologic surgery. This marks a milestone in the evolution of our journal. As the oldest peer-reviewed journal of dermatology in the nation, the ARCHIVES has striven for more than a century to provide the highest-quality peer-reviewed research and clinical information on all aspects of dermatology. We want to take this opportunity to express our strong interest in, support of, and commitment to the burgeoning subspecialty of dermatology broadly known as dermatologic surgery.
