The classification of large-plaque parapsoriasis (LPP) has been debated for many years. Today it is widely agreed that LPP is an early (premycotic) stage of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).1 However it is not known why only 0% to 46% of cases progress into clear-cut lymphoma, nor do there seem to be reasonable criteria for predicting which patients with LLP will develop a more severe form of CTCL.
