I read with interest in the February issue of the ARCHIVES the thorough and compelling article by Schaffer and coworkers¹ regarding the notion that speckled lentiginous nevus is a subtype of congenital melanocytic nevus, and the accompanying editorial on nevus spilus (NS) by Cohen.²
