We were pleased to learn of the article by Liang and Frieden1 that was published in Pediatrics in 1997 concerning their 4 cases of ulcerated perineal and perioral hemangiomas and to be introduced to glucose transporter isoform 1 as a new immunohistochemical marker for hemangiomas of infancy.2
