For those who did not know, there is a new Fitz. This sixth edition has come to us only 4 years after the fifth; prior editions were spaced 6 years or more apart. As the incarnation of continuity in academic dermatology, Fitz continues to learn and grow. The current edition, mercifully, is several hundred pages shorter than the last. The last version could have been enlarged no more without adding a third volume and the editors presumably understood that this would have drastically eroded the functionality of this text.
