To the Editor:—
In Dr. J. E. Lane's paper on "Glossitis Rhombica Mediana," which appeared in the May issue, the author states that "Nothing has appeared in English on the subject." The same disorder was described by Drs. Fordyce and Cannon in the December, 1923, number of the Archives as "A Hitherto Undescribed Condition of the Tongue."It may be of interest to note that this disease, first published in 1914 by Brocq and Pautrier, is briefly but adequately described in English on page 226 of the American translation of Darier's "Text-book of Dermatology," Philadelphia, Lea and Febiger, 1920, under the name of "Median Rhomboidal Glossitis."
