This book gives a summary of all knowledge on the subject. It is a treasure house of information on diet in diseases of the skin. In a way it is a personal book, because the author freely gives his own experiences and his opinions based on them. It is also a review of the work of others. On the whole, it is conservative and temperate. The author, for example, is not able to cure psoriasis or acne with diet alone. On the other hand, in expressing the experiences of others, he gives startling statements of what they say can be done with diet. For example, others are quoted who have obtained good results in cases of keloid and elephantiasis with diet. Some of his own results are striking and thought-provoking, such as his results in some cases of lupus and eczema. It is a scholarly and scientific book —
