This book, which combines the knowledge of diseases of the mouth, of dentistry and of dermatology, has long been wished for. And, luckily, it does not disappoint the reader. Both authors are highly competent. Dr. Prinz, a doctor of medicine and a doctor of science, as well as a doctor of dentistry, is a professor in the School of Dentistry of the University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Greenbaum is the well known Philadelphia dermatologist. Both write well out of a fulness of knowledge in their fields. Each has followed the standard of giving a complete, if brief, review of the subject and of making it practical. Everything is covered, from the embryology, anatomy and physiology of the mouth, methods of examination, symptomatology, general considerations of disturbances of the mouth and oral hygiene, to a detailed consideration of all the diseases of the mouth.
